Returns Policy
Ordering
Ordering through the website is your best option, this way you get an order confirmation right away, and if there's any mistake, you have time to rectify them before the order is dispatched. Online orders are also free delivery over £75.00 to UK mainland too (there are some exemptions) whilst orders over the phone do NOT qualify for free delivery. Online orders also qualify for next day delivery (99% of the time, there are some exceptions during very busy days) if ordered before 1pm. If you are ordering over the phone, and do not have the correct part numbers, you are responsible for ensuring you are asking for and ordering the correct parts. Phone orders with parts that are incorrect, are your responsibilty to return, as we have many customers asking for incorrect parts and wanting them swapped over for free, this is not possible.
Delivery
We deliver to all UK mainland and Northern Ireland addresses provided that the address to which your payment card is registered is also present on your order. All deliveries must be signed for on receipt. You should retain the invoice included with your goods. We do not deliver to Post Office (P.O.) boxes or shipping agent addresses.
There is a charge for delivery and when you add products to your Shopping Basket, the appropriate delivery charge will be added automatically. You will always be able to see this charge before submitting your order, if your order is over the amount of £75.00 then you will qualify for free UK Mainland postage. Exclusions apply
Deliveries will be carried out by out by our nominated delivery agent and will take place within three to five days of order receipt. You will receive an email confirmation when your order has been dispatched with a unique shipping number which allows you to track the status of your delivery. Orders to UK mainland addresses will normally be delivered by 5:00 p.m. on the day following dispatch and to other addresses by 5:00 p.m. two days following dispatch. There are no deliveries on Sunday. You should identify any special delivery requirements at the time of placing your order.
If you are not available to sign for the delivery when the delivery agent attempts to deliver they will ask you to contact them to arrange a suitable alternative date and time, once they leave a card for you this is out of our control and is down to you to re-arrange delivery with the courier. If you do not do this, and the parcel comes back to us, then you will have to pay a re-delivery charge or we will refund the order.
Whilst every reasonable effort shall be made to keep to any estimated delivery date, time of delivery shall not be of the essence and Alan H Schofield Limited shall not be liable for any losses, costs, damages or expenses incurred by the customer or any other person or company arising directly or indirectly out of any failure to meet any estimated delivery date. The risk in the goods shall pass from the company to the customer upon delivery of such goods to the customer.
Delivery Charge
You will only pay one delivery charge per order. When you have added items to your shopping basket, the standard delivery charge for those products will be automatically applied to your order, again, if the order is over £75.00 there will be no delivery charge, there is exceptions to the free postage offer and this is stated on the excluded items.
Force Majeure
Alan H Schofield Limited shall have no liability to you for any failure to deliver goods you have ordered or any delay in doing so or for any damage or defect to goods delivered that is caused by any event or circumstance beyond its reasonable control.
Damaged or Incomplete Goods
Should your goods arrive damaged or incomplete or if we have sent you an item other than the one you ordered please email us at [email protected]. and our helpdesk will arrange for the damaged goods to be picked up and replacement items delivered. You must inform us that you have received incomplete, incorrect or damaged items within seven days of delivery. You will not be charged for delivery of the replacement items and if you require a refund instead of replacement goods we will also refund your original delivery charge. If the box arrives and looks damaged, please sign for it as 'damaged'.
Returns
If you wish to return goods that you have ordered from Alan H Schofield Limited you must inform us by emailing your "Customer Order Number", "Part Reference" number from your invoice and a daytime telephone number to [email protected] within 28 days of delivery of the goods. Our Returns Department will provide you with details on how to proceed.
If you return parts without permission or filling out a returns form first, and the "28 days return window" has passed, then your order will incur a 20% re-stocking fee, plus deduction of any postage if you qualified for free postage at the time of purchase.
Goods should be returned within 28 days of purchase. After 28 days will then incur a 10% restocking fee. (20% as stated above if no returns form or permission received).
We DO NOT accept any returns after 60 days.
It is your responsibility to return the goods to us and cancellation shall not be effective until the goods are received back by us.
If you are returning goods, it is your responsibility to send them back with your preferred courier. It is also your responsibility to make sure they are adequately packaged so they do not come back damaged. If they arrive back damaged, they will not be eligible for refund or credit.
The returned goods must be in a resalable state and any goods or accessories that originally accompanied the returned product must also be returned. The goods should also be returned with their original box, packing and accessories.
When we receive the returned goods we will refund your credit or debit card for the cost of the returned goods and the initial delivery charge less the agreed return carriage cost.
If your order is over £75.00 and qualifies for free postage, and then you send an item back which makes your original order under the value of £75.00, we will deduct what it cost for us to ship it from your refund, if you also place an order which qualifies for free postage and then return it due to no fault of our own, we will also deduct from your refund what it cost is to send it.
This returns policy does not affect your legal rights.
Cancellation of Orders
You are able to cancel your order prior to shipping with no cost penalty being incurred and full credit of your account if monies have already been taken. To cancel an order please email us at sales@alanhschofield.com.
